In L.A. kommt es zu einer Konfrontation zwischen Vampiren und Vampirjägern. Etwas aber ist anders als die letzten Male, doch noch weiß keine von beiden Seiten so richtig, was die mächtige dritte Partei, die beide bereits nach Kräften dezimiert, im Schilde führt. Vampirjägerin Carrie, die zusehen musste, wie ihr Geliebter zur Gegenseite überlief, kommt dem Geheimnis auf die Spur: Offenbar greift ein seit 800 Jahren angeblich dämonischer Übervampir nach der Weltherrschaft. Teamwork könnte jetzt nicht schaden.
